Completed sale
Allevat

Very strong interest, multiple offers and a buyer already active in the lift sector helped Allevat complete within just six months of going live on the market.
Founded in 2015 and based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Allevat operates as an approved contractor within the UK lift and escalator industry. The company provides maintenance, repairs, surveys, new installations, modernisations and 24/7 emergency call-outs for non-domestic clients, including offices, sports and entertainment venues, specialist residential care homes and charity organisations.
Allevat has built its model around nationwide coverage, low overheads and a trusted network of independent engineers, technicians and consultants. This allows the business to coordinate work across the UK while maintaining strong relationships with both clients and engineers.
Its service offer includes emergency support for faulty or out-of-service lifts, with engineers able to attend entrapments within 60 minutes where passenger safety is at risk. The business also manages maintenance programmes, condition reports, modernisation works and safe release training for client teams.
Nick and Sally Doxey brought Allevat to market to facilitate their retirement plans and find a buyer capable of continuing the company’s development. The sale was led by Deal Executive Karen Clarke, with support from Deal Executive Ellie Brown, while Research Administrator Sonia Smith played a key part in identifying suitable buyers.
Creative Lifts, based in Walsall, West Midlands, was ultimately selected as the buyer. Led by Anthony Clarke, the company is an independent lift specialist providing maintenance, repairs, installation support and 24-hour call-out services across a broad range of lift types.
For Creative Lifts, the acquisition brings an established client base, national contractor relationships and a flexible operating model within a familiar specialist sector. It also creates a natural link between two businesses focused on lift maintenance, repair and responsive service.
Both parties’ solicitors were platform partners of Knightsbridge, helping the final stages of the transaction progress smoothly.
Following completion, Nick shared positive feedback for Knightsbridge, describing Karen as “a great help” and “enthusiastic” in supporting the deal through to completion. He also highlighted her work in arranging potential buyer meetings and liaising during the final stages of the sale.
Reflecting on the transaction, Karen said: “It was a pleasure to work with Nick and Anthony in finding a deal that worked for both parties.”
The Knightsbridge team wishes Nick and Sally a happy retirement, and every success to Anthony and Creative Lifts as they build on Allevat’s reputation in the specialist lift sector.
