Bear With Us Productions

Bear With Us Productions, a children’s book illustration and development business based in South Wales, has been successfully sold.
Founded in 2018 and owned by Andrew Wheeler, the business has built an established international client base and is now set for its next phase of development.
The business supports self-publishing authors through a range of creative and production services, including illustration, character design, formatting, editing and animated book trailers. By offering a fully integrated service, it enables authors to bring their work to market in a professional and accessible way.
Since commencing trading, the company has developed a strong reputation within the self-publishing sector, working with over 150 active authors across the UK, USA, Europe and Australia. Its services also contribute to content for augmented reality platforms such as Bookful, supporting additional, forward-looking revenue streams.
Growth has been driven largely through word-of-mouth referrals and organic demand, underpinned by strong branding and a consistent level of client satisfaction. This has enabled the business to establish multiple reliable income streams and a platform for further development.
With the shareholder looking to realise the value created and support the next stage of growth, the business was brought to market. The process, led by Deal Executive Peter Taberner, generated a number of meetings and resulted in a successful outcome, aligning with the preferred buyer profile.
The business was acquired by London-based Aris Group, a multi-brand operator bringing together specialist businesses across children’s entertainment, education, publishing and the wider events sector.
Founded in 2019 by Shivani Rawal, the group identified the opportunity to add Bear With Us to its portfolio and further develop the brand within its existing structure.
The acquisition reflects the buyer’s intention to build on the company’s existing foundations, supporting its continued growth and expanding its reach within the self-publishing and creative sectors.
The Knightsbridge team wishes both parties every success as the business continues to develop under its new ownership.
