Benfield Fire Safety
Knightsbridge supported the sale of Benfield Fire Safety in around seven months, following a process that attracted 32 interested parties, six meetings and three offers.
For Benfield, the transaction was not about the seller stepping away entirely. The sale was designed to support the company’s next stage of growth under new ownership, with the seller remaining involved after completion.
Established in 2015, Benfield Fire Safety supports private and commercial clients across London and Southern England. Its services include fire safety training, fire risk assessments, evacuation planning, fire door inspections and wider compliance support.
The business has built its reputation around practical guidance, hands-on training and experience in the fire safety sector. Its training and fire risk team also brought more than 60 years of combined experience.
Benfield serves clients across sectors including councils, schools, industrial firms and retail businesses. The company has more than 160 active clients, with existing customers accounting for a significant proportion of revenue.
Those strengths made Benfield a natural fit for Artius Holdings, a buyer seeking a complementary addition to its existing business and a platform for further growth.
Knightsbridge positioned the opportunity around Benfield’s established client relationships, experienced team, recurring revenue, broad service range and scope to expand under a larger owner.
Deal Executive Karen Clarke handled the transaction through to completion, with research support from Naomi Heaton and deal support from Rose Fitzsimmons.

The transaction gives Artius Holdings an established fire safety business with a customer base across Southern England, while giving Benfield the backing to continue developing with the seller still involved.
