Completed sale
David Page Associates

Built around products used by Olympic and world champion sailors, the assets of David Page Associates have now been acquired by Sailing Chandlery following a successful sale process.
Founded by David Page in Essex, the business developed the Hikingbench and Rigtube brands, supplying sailing and dinghy products to customers in more than 30 countries.
The ranges established an excellent standing within the sailing community, supported by registered designs, matching domain names and longstanding relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
The Hikingbench range became widely recognised within competitive sailing circles as a training apparatus designed to improve posture, hiking technique and core strength, while Rigtube provides a secure transport solution for dinghy spars and sails.
Users of the products have included Olympic Gold medallist Paul Goodison, members of the British Sailing Team and the Oman Sail Dinghy Race Team.
The opportunity was brought to market to facilitate David’s retirement and allow him to step back from the business. Represented by Regional Commercial Director Joe Bull and led by Associate Director Sara Manville, the process generated targeted engagement before a suitable long-term buyer was identified.
The buyer, Essex-based Sailing Chandlery, was founded in 2012 and has grown into a recognised name within the sailing market, supplying ropes, rigging and marine equipment to customers worldwide.
The acquisition was identified as a strong complementary fit alongside its existing product offering and customer base, with clear opportunities to further develop the Hikingbench and Rigtube brands.
Drawing on its established position within the marine leisure sector, Sailing Chandlery aims to build on the products’ international reach and reputation amongst both professional and recreational sailors.
The Knightsbridge team wishes David all the best for the future, and every success to Sailing Chandlery as the brands continue under new ownership.
