Completed sale
Edson Electronics

Edson Electronics has completed an unusual split sale involving two specialist buyers, with different parts of the business acquired by Bondline Electronics and Harrison Wipes.
Both transactions were completed within seven months of the business coming to market, with Bondline’s Darren Buckett describing Knightsbridge as “a fantastic company to deal with, so straight forward and very helpful”.
Established in 1989, Edson is a family-owned business supplying electronic manufacturing consumables to the electronics, print and other industrial sectors. Its product range includes stencil rolls, ESD paints and coatings, wipes, swabs and other specialist products, with customers and distributors across the UK and overseas.
Over more than 35 years, the company built long-standing relationships with customers and distributors, including some that have lasted more than two decades.
Both buyers already operate in areas closely related to Edson’s product range. Bondline Electronics specialises in ESD and static-control products for electronics manufacturing, while Harrison Wipes is an established manufacturer and supplier of industrial wipes and specialist materials.
Deal Executive Ollie Edwards, who coordinated both sales through to completion, was described by Darren as “great to deal with”, adding that “it was a real pleasure doing business with them.”
Edson’s Neil Woods said he “found the staff very helpful and friendly” once the process was underway and praised Ollie’s “calm voice throughout the process”. He added: “Always helpful, worked well as the central point of contact for both buyer and seller.”
The split sale allows Neil and Susan Woods to move on to other business ventures, while the different parts of Edson continue with specialist operators in their respective markets.
After completion, Neil said: “I’d be happy to recommend Knightsbridge.”
The Knightsbridge team wishes Neil and Susan every success for the future, and Bondline Electronics and Harrison Wipes every success with their acquisitions.
