Express Assemblies is an international supplier of wire and cable assemblies, based in Leicester. Established in 1998, the business has built a strong position within the global cabling market through its in-house expertise and long-standing client relationships.
The company delivers a fully integrated, end-to-end service, managing projects from design and procurement through to manufacturing, testing and fulfilment. Its capabilities include wire cutting, crimping, stripping and complex cable assemblies, supporting sectors such as automotive, rail, telecommunications and medical.
Operating on a B2B basis, the business has developed a broad and loyal client base, with many relationships spanning over a decade. Its reputation for quality and reliability, supported by ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, has enabled it to generate consistent repeat business and ongoing enquiries.
Michael Crane took the decision to bring the business to market to facilitate retirement, with the opportunity represented by Regional Commercial Director Donald Peden and the process led by Associate Director Sara Thomasson. Strong interest was generated, resulting in a swift and successful transaction.
The business was acquired by Ambassador Window Systems, a St Neots-based manufacturer and supplier of window and door systems. The acquisition supports the buyer’s plans to expand its capabilities and strengthen its operational offering.
