Completed sale
Fixed Wheel Brewery

Not every sale is a full handover. For Fixed Wheel Brewery, the transaction centred on Sharon Bryant’s 50% shareholding, allowing one founder to step back while the brewery continues with co-founder Scott Povey and a new co-owner in place.
Based in Blackheath, West Midlands, Fixed Wheel Brewery was founded in 2014 by Sharon and Scott after they acquired an eight-barrel plant and began building the business from its brewery and taproom premises. Since then, it has developed into an award-winning microbrewery with a loyal following across the region and beyond.
The brewery produces a range of beers, stouts, session ales and IPAs, including Blackheath Stout, Wheelie Pale Ale, Through and Off Session IPA, Chain Reaction Pale Ale and No Brakes IPA. Its products are sold through the taproom, online beer shop and trade channels, supplying both direct customers and organisations across the hospitality, food and beverage, sports, and events sectors.
Fixed Wheel has earned a strong reputation for the quality of its brewing. Its awards include Champion Beer of Great Britain, a Gold award from the Untappd Community Awards 2024 and Supreme Champion Beer from the Campaign for Real Ale. The brewery is also SIBA accredited, supporting its standing within the wider craft beer market.
The sale required a buyer who could work within the existing structure of the business, rather than simply take over an entire operation. Private investor Neil Homer, who was already known to the shareholders, acquired Sharon’s shareholding with the aim of supporting Fixed Wheel Brewery’s continued development alongside Scott.
The process was led by Deal Executive Karen Clarke, with support from Rose Fitzsimmons. Karen worked closely with Sharon, the buyer and their respective solicitors to help guide the transaction through to completion and achieve an outcome both sides were happy with.
Following the sale, Sharon left a five-star review for Knightsbridge, saying:
“My experience with Knightsbridge has been great. Things have been quite difficult, but I have been expertly guided along the way. Karen Clarke has been very proactive, and the constant updates and being in touch with phone calls have really helped me and made the whole process run smoothly.”
The deal allows Sharon to move on from her shareholding in a business she helped build over more than a decade. For Fixed Wheel Brewery, it keeps continuity at the heart of the company while bringing in a new co-owner motivated to support the next phase of its development.
