A specialist HR consultancy serving the education sector has been acquired by Newcastle-based Sapphire HR in a strategic bolt-on transaction completed within just nine months of coming to market.
Heads HR, founded by Jayne Memon and based in Derbyshire’s High Peak, provides dedicated HR support for schools — a niche area requiring both employment law expertise and a strong understanding of the education environment.
The opportunity generated solid engagement from the market, progressing through 16 meetings and three offers during the sale process.
The transaction was led by Knightsbridge Associate Director Leanne Boulding, with Regional Commercial Director Martin Baars representing the opportunity.
Following discussions with a number of interested parties, the business was ultimately acquired by Sapphire HR, an outsourced HR consultancy founded in 2018 and headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The successful completion enables Jayne to step away from the business and focus on other ventures.
Sapphire HR works with organisations across the UK, providing outsourced HR support and employment law advice alongside services covering recruitment, training and wider people management.
The acquisition of Heads HR represents a strategic bolt-on for the Newcastle firm, strengthening its presence within the education sector while adding a complementary client base and specialist expertise in supporting schools.
