Our client is a building services engineering consultancy business, specialising in the design of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services that are installed within buildings.
The business is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, founded by Andrew Coles in 1994. It has several high-value active clients, with some long-standing relationships.
In recent years, C & W has recorded consistently high gross profit and turnover figures. Having built up the business over several decades, Andrew offered the business for sale to facilitate his retirement plans.
Knightsbridge Deal Executive Peter Taberner led the sale, and by working with our Head of Research Natalie Weaving, two offers were tabled for our client.
C & W was acquired by Green Building Design Consultants, a building services consultancy specialising in the delivery of sustainable, innovative, and practical building services design solutions.
The company was established in Hertfordshire in 2001 by Simon Green, who “purchased C & W to incorporate the business into his own and to build on its success further”, explained Peter.
