How Sandwell Pest Control Services Facilities Management & Utilities Was Sold to Partners Group | Deal Summary

Knightsbridge facilitated the sale of a provider of a range of pest control treatments… Sandwell Pest Control Services (SPCS) covers all areas of the West Midlands, having been established by Garry Willis in July 2015. It comprises a team of highly-qualified technicians and is an accredited member of the National Pest Technicians Association. The business has grown to be a prominent market leader in its industry. Knightsbridge Commercial Executive Helen Bainbridge, who oversaw its sale, described the selling points of SPCS – which were showcased to interested buyers following thorough research. “It operates from leasehold premises, offering 24/7 pest control solutions for both commercial and private clients,” explained Helen. “Its recently achieved turnover was circa £242k, with an adjusted EBITDA of over £88k. “SPCS has 100 active clients across the West Midlands, but without reliance on any key clients. It has excellent client retention rates, with several relationships spanning over five years.” Helen concluded: “SPCS also has excellent client reviews and a very strong online presence.” With its strengths showcased, interest flooded… No less than 70 potential buyers came forward, which led to 12 meetings being conducted with the most serious of acquirers, and resulted in two formal offers. The final, and successful, offer was submitted by London-based Partners Group Ltd – a highly significant global firm with over $220billion in assets under management in private equity. Established in Switzerland in 1996, the ever-growing business was “looking to expand its pest control operations in the UK”, explained Helen – achieving this with the acquisition of SPCS.
