ICT North

What began as a sole trader operation in 2005 has grown into a recognised IT support provider serving schools across North East England.
Founded by Simon Bough, ICT North supports education organisations with managed IT services, cloud solutions, broadband and network infrastructure, hardware support and interactive classroom technology.
Operating through a remote model backed by a dedicated technical team, the business established long-standing client relationships across the region, with some partnerships maintained for well over a decade.
Alongside becoming a Google Partner in 2019, the company also developed relationships with major technology providers including HP, Dell and Lenovo, strengthening its position within the education technology sector.
To enable further growth potential under new ownership, the business was brought to market through a process led by Associate Director Sara Thomasson. Very strong engagement followed, generating 45 meetings and nine offers.
The buyer, David Middleton of Tempest Gaming, recognised the value in ICT North’s established client base, sector reputation and future scalability, identifying the business as a strong addition to his wider technology interests.
The acquisition creates opportunities for continued expansion across educational IT support and cloud-based services, while allowing the business to build on the platform established over the past two decades.
The Knightsbridge team wishes Simon all the best for the future, and every success to ICT North as the business continues under its new ownership.
