Inchwater Home Care

A high-quality domiciliary care provider in Kent has been successfully sold following a process focused on securing the right long-term partner.

Inchwater Home Care, based in Dover, has built a strong reputation for delivering specialist home care services across its local areas. Founded in 1991, the business has developed into an award-winning provider, recognised for its consistently high standards of care and strong relationships with service users.

This includes a CQC ‘Outstanding’ rating in four out of five areas — placing it among the top 0.25% of providers in the UK and within a small minority across the wider care sector to achieve such recognition.

Having developed a strong and scalable operation, the shareholders brought Inchwater to market, with a clear focus on identifying a buyer who could continue the company’s standards and support its next phase of development. Crucially, they remained focused on securing the right partner rather than rushing to completion.

The sale process, led by Associate Director Sara Thomasson and supported by National Sales Director James Mansell, generated significant interest, with the Knightsbridge team managing hundreds of enquiries and multiple meetings, resulting in several offers.

The business was ultimately acquired by Prakash Bundun’s Affinity Home Care, with plans to support continued growth, including expanding its service offering and building on its strong presence within the region.

Looking ahead, the business is well positioned to continue its growth trajectory, with opportunities to further develop services, expand geographically and introduce additional offerings such as live-in care, which is in increasing demand.
