Kabsec Consultancy
Cambridgeshire-based Dardan Security, operating since 1973, has strengthened its specialist risk and advisory capabilities with the acquisition of Kabsec Consultancy, based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The buyer delivers a broad range of security and risk management services across the UK.
Kabsec, founded in 2016 by Kevin Burrows, provides crime prevention and risk management consultancy, with a particular focus on security through environmental design. The business supports organisations in identifying and mitigating risk through considered, preventative approaches.
Having built and developed the business, Kevin brought Kabsec to market to facilitate his retirement, while remaining involved on a part-time basis during the transition. The process resulted in a choice of offers for the vendor, with Dardan Security, led by Philip Anthony, selected as the preferred buyer.
We presented the opportunity to Philip, who recognised the strategic value of integrating Kabsec’s specialist expertise into the group’s existing service offering. The acquisition enhances Dardan’s advisory capability, adding a complementary consultancy focused on crime prevention and environmental design.
Following completion, Kevin has stepped back from the business, supporting a smooth transition as he moves towards retirement. Our Operations Manager Leanne Boulding, who led the sale, wishes him all the best and looks forward to seeing Kabsec continue to develop as part of Dardan’s wider offering.
