Kingshurst Automotive
Long-established Birmingham garage Kingshurst Automotive has been sold to Fleet Auto Services, allowing the owner to move ahead with retirement while the business continues from its Chelmsley Wood base.
Established in 1979, Kingshurst was acquired by Chris Kisby in 2015. The company provides vehicle repairs, servicing, diagnostics and MOT testing, and is also a Ford-authorised repairer.
Much of its work comes from customers in the surrounding area, with many returning for servicing, MOTs and repairs. The business is supported by an experienced management and workshop team, including a general manager and workshop controller with more than 45 years of combined industry experience.
The opportunity generated 13 viewings and three offers before terms were agreed with West Midlands-based Fleet Auto Services. The family-run company specialises in servicing the daily rental industry, giving it a clear connection with Kingshurst’s existing automotive work.
Operations Manager Sara Manville handled the transaction, with Regional Commercial Director Donald Peden representing the opportunity. As part of the deal, Chris retained the premises, which the buyer will rent while continuing to operate Kingshurst from the same Chelmsley Wood site.
