L T Cleaning Services has been successfully sold, marking the conclusion of more than two decades of ownership for its founder, Jan McGuinness.
Established in 1999, the Leeds-based business provides commercial cleaning services across Northern England, supporting clients in sectors including construction, medical, legal, education and property management.
Its offering spans everything from industrial window cleaning and construction site cleaning to specialist pre-audit and environmental cleaning, enabling it to build long-standing relationships across a diverse client base.
Operating with a team of around 40 cleaners alongside a small management and sales structure, the business has developed a strong reputation for reliability and responsiveness, with much of its growth driven through repeat work and referrals.
Having built the business over many years, Jan took the decision to explore a sale in order to retire, with a focus on ensuring continuity for both staff and clients.
The process, led by Sara Manville, generated strong interest, resulting in 22 viewings and four offers, reflecting the strength of the company’s contracts and team in place.
The successful acquirer was identified through collaboration with sister company KBS Corporate, demonstrating the advantage of K3 Advisory Group’s integrated approach and access to a wider pool of relevant buyers.
The business was ultimately acquired by Anlaby Cleaning, a long-established, family-run commercial cleaning company formed in 1980, with offices in Bradford and Newcastle upon Tyne, enabling it to service clients across the North of England and into the Midlands.
It works with a broad portfolio of well-known local organisations across multiple sectors, including Bradford City Football Club, City Hall, St George’s Hall Theatre, the National Science and Media Museum and the University of York, reflecting both the scale and diversity of its operations.
For Anlaby, this acquisition enhances its regional presence and broadens its existing service offering, while for L T Cleaning Services it provides continuity for clients and employees within an established and experienced operator.
As the company moves forward under new ownership, the Knightsbridge team wishes Jan all the best for a long and happy retirement.
