Established in 2001 by Sally Sanderson, Profex Consultancy Limited t/a Profex Consulting has successfully transitioned to new ownership. Based in Horsham, West Sussex, the consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering specialist leadership training and coaching to the legal sector.
Working with global and top-tier law firms, the business delivers tailored programmes focused on leadership, people management and influencing skills. Its proprietary ABCDE leadership model and published book, Leading Lawyers, form a core part of its offer and underpin long-standing client relationships.
The company was brought to market to support Sally’s retirement plans, with priority placed on securing the right long-term custodian. Showcasing Profex generated 16 interested parties and progressed through seven meetings before terms were agreed with a suitable purchaser.
The transaction was led by Deal Executive Peter Taberner, with research conducted by Chloe Carroll and the buyer sourced directly. Constructive dialogue between all parties ensured a focused process, enabling completion in nine months from going live to completion.
Profex was acquired by Fresh Professional Development, based in Wotton-under-Edge, South Gloucestershire. Led by Rachel Barry, the buyer identified clear strategic alignment within her existing portfolio and views the acquisition as an opportunity to strengthen and grow her wider professional development offering.
