We facilitated the sale of a graphic design agency to Bread and Butter Creative Limited…

Staffordshire-based Raphael Design Limited (RDL) provides a wide range of graphic design solutions, including branding, exhibitions and promotional gifts, and print services.

The company commenced trading in 1993, expanding into new offices in Tamworth in 1998, followed by the relocation to a purpose-built office in Lichfield in 2003.

RDL offers in-house services for branding, digital artwork, and website design. In 2015, it became part of the Nettl franchise.

The company was offered for sale to facilitate retirement plans of its owner, Peter Lubrano.

Knightsbridge deployed Deal Executive Peter Taberner to generate interest for RDL and ultimately push through its sale.

Megan Steele, Knightsbridge Research Analyst, conducted the search strategy, which led to no less than fourteen meetings with interested parties.

The growth opportunity was presented to the potential acquirers, seeing Peter and the wider team highlight RDL’s organic growth without reliance on proactive marketing activities.

The business ultimately received five formal offers. The team then oversaw a competitive bidding process, which in the end revealed the successful buyer…

…Nathan Shelton, founder of Bread and Butter Creative Limited, a holistic graphic and web design agency that services clients across the UK.

The business specialises in graphic design for web and print, established in 2013 and based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.

Its varied client base includes Cambridgeshire County Council, Hatfield and Welwyn Borough Council, as well as a large variety of private sector clients ranging from publishers to an ice cream maker.

Nathan commented: “Bread and Butter Creative is proud announce the acquisition of a leading graphic design agency in the West Midlands”, adding:

“We are looking forward to taking the business forward for the next 31 years! Exciting times ahead.”

Peter (Taberner) explained “Peter (Lubrano) was very happy with the buyer that Knightsbridge sourced for him”.

The Knightsbridge team wishes the best of futures for Nathan and the two companies involved, and a very happy and well-earned retirement to Peter.
