Real Time Reception

A UK-based virtual reception provider has been acquired by an international operator, highlighting the strength of our buyer demand beyond domestic markets.

Real Time Reception, based in Norfolk, delivers remote receptionist services to clients across the healthcare sector, supporting clinics with call handling, appointment booking and payment processing. Established in 2004 by Jennifer Spencer, the business has built long-standing relationships, generating consistent recurring revenue through a retained model.

Operating with a fully remote team, the business has developed a flexible and scalable structure, supported by an experienced management layer and trained receptionists capable of representing clients directly. This model, alongside its reputation within the healthcare space, made it an attractive opportunity for a range of buyers.

Planning a well-earned retirement, Jennifer approached Knightsbridge to support the sale of the business. Represented by Regional Commercial Director Joe Bull and led by Commercial Executive Helen Bainbridge, the process generated strong engagement, resulting in over 20 meetings before a preferred buyer was selected.

The acquirer, Sydney-based OfficeHQ, led by Craig Curry, identified the business as an opportunity to establish and expand its presence within the UK market. As an established provider of virtual receptionist services in Australia, the acquisition offers a direct route into a new geography while building on a proven service model.

The transaction reflects Knightsbridge’s ability to connect UK businesses with a broader, international buyer pool, securing an outcome that supports both the sellers’ retirement and the buyer’s longer-term expansion strategy. We wish Jennifer a happy retirement, and every success to OfficeHQ as it develops its UK presence.
