Robbie Roskell Arch. And Build. Consultants Property Management & Construction Company Was Acquired by Eznat | Case Study

Knightsbridge secured the interest of 119 potential buyers for its client… Robbie Roskell Architectural and Building Consultants Limited, shortened to RRABC, is an independent architectural consultancy firm, based in Dorset. RRABC offers a wide range of architectural and building services, ranging from planning and design to building and development advice. The company has the ability to manage projects
of diverse scales, specialising in overseeing clients’ planning permission applications. Established since 1998, RRABC has developed a strong reputation across the region for its expert knowledge and advice regarding building design. The company operates across a wide range of sectors, developing key client relationships with
local business and property developers, along with private clients. Knightsbridge Operations Director Sara Thomasson, who described Robbie as a “lovely client – one of the nicest I’ve ever had”, explained that “Robbie had lost interest running the company, and was looking to sell the business to pursue other, unrelated business ventures”. Explaining the key selling points of RRABC, Sara commented: “The company has a well-established client base, with relationships existing since inception. It demonstrates consistently high turnovers and adjusted EBIDTA, as well as year-on-year increases of gross profit and shareholder funds. “The company, on top of its strong performances, has potential for further regional expansion with the opportunity to introduce additional services and to expand into diverse sectors. “Robbie, as the Managing Director, is willing to remain within the company for a negotiable period to facilitate a smooth handover post-sale.” The strengths of the business proved popular, as no less than 119 interested parties came forward. Knightsbridge conducted 25 meetings, securing nine formal offers for Robbie. The buyer: Joseph Bvumburai, founder of Eznat Ltd, which trades as Eznat Architects, a provider of architectural design solutions. Based in Hull, the company was established in 2010 and its roots in the city stem way back… Before moving to the UK in the 1980s, Joseph applied to every architecture school in the world. Hull School of Architecture was the first to respond, offering Joseph a place. He knocked on the doors of every embassy based in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, to enable him to become an international student. The final one, the Swedish Embassy, offered Joseph a grant. Rating Knightsbridge five stars, Joseph shared his experience: “Sara was patient while we raised funds and she helped a great deal in keeping the seller updated and onside when things were difficult. “I could not have done the deal without Sara’s tactful and positive mindset. Thank you Sara for enabling us the life-changing acquisition.”
