R&P Repairs

A Surrey-based accident repair specialist has changed hands following a process that drew strong interest from across the market, in a process led by Associate Director Sara Manville.

R&P Repairs, founded in 2008 by Matthew Clarke, operates from Lingfield and provides a wide range of vehicle body repair services, including insurer-approved work, crash repairs, SMART work and non-fault accident claims.

The business supports both private and commercial customers, with long-standing relationships across dealerships, insurers and rental companies underpinning a steady flow of repeat work.

Over time, the company has built a solid local reputation, driven largely by referrals and consistent service delivery. Its accreditations and use of industry-standard, insurer-linked systems reflect a focus on quality and operational standards within a competitive market.

With retirement in mind, the owner took the decision to bring the business to market. The process generated strong engagement, resulting in multiple meetings and three offers before a buyer was secured.

The acquirer, West Berkshire-based 1 Click Logistics, led by Martin McGrath, identified the business as a complementary addition. The intention is to maintain existing operations while supporting further growth and exploring similar opportunities in the sector.

The deal provides a clear transition into new ownership, with continuity of service and existing relationships remaining a priority. We wish Matthew a well-earned retirement, and every success to both parties as the business moves forward.
