The Lucky Drinker has been successfully sold in a rapid transaction, completing in two months from going live on the market. Based in Southampton, the business operates as an online catering supplies platform, providing glassware, bar equipment and tableware to hospitality venues across the UK.
Founded in 2017 as a drinks-focused blog and incorporated in 2020, the company developed into a streamlined e-commerce operation supported by strong SEO performance and more than 300 active customers. Its lean overhead structure and outsourced professional support created a scalable platform attractive to trade buyers.
The sole shareholder, Ciprian-Ionut Zsraga, decided to sell due to family commitments and a planned relocation. Having experienced a prolonged process with a previous broker, securing a swift and decisive outcome was a clear priority from the outset.
Ultimately, both parties were pleased with the deal, with Ciprian described as “over the moon with the speed of sale from going live to finding his buyer,” explained Deal Executive Karen Clarke, who led the sale.
With support from National Sales Director Joe Bull representing the sale, documentation was prepared by Kate Matthews and onboarding managed by Associate Director Elliot Grant, reflecting a coordinated team effort that delivered a focused and efficient completion.
The business was acquired by Primetec Services, based in Warminster, owned by Aaron Finn. Primetec provides technical and commercial support services, and the acquisition enables the buyer to integrate The Lucky Drinker’s established digital platform into its broader operations to support continued expansion.
Karen commented: “We were really pleased with how quickly we managed to find a suitable buyer for the client. It was important for them to secure a sale so they could relocate closer to family. We found a strong buyer who will now be able to expand their current business through this acquisition.”
