Tyres (King’s Lynn)

Operating since 1966, this Norfolk-based business provides tyre retail, wholesale and repair services, supporting a broad customer base across the local motor trade. Over the years, it has built a strong presence in its area, underpinned by long-standing relationships and a reputation for reliability.

A family-run operation, Tyres (King’s Lynn) was passed from father to son in 1984, with Nicholas and his wife Sarah going on to run and develop it over many years. As part of their retirement plans, they took the decision to bring the business to market, with a focus on securing the right successor.

The process, managed by Operations Manager Leanne Boulding and represented by Regional Commercial Director Joe Bull, highlighted clear opportunities for future growth, attracting interest from buyers aligned with the business’s local presence and established customer base.

Reflecting on the transaction, Leanne said: “The buyer was already operating within the industry and was looking to acquire a business locally that he could build on. It was a great fit and a strong outcome with a local buyer.”

The business was ultimately acquired by local businessman Simon Cutche, who identified the opportunity to build on TKL’s established position within the region. After more than 40 years of ownership, Nicholas and Sarah now step away from the business as they enter retirement.

The Knightsbridge team wishes them both a long and happy retirement.
